Setting up WiFi on the projector

Connecting the projector to WiFi

  1. Turn off the projector's power. It is not necessary to disconnect the power cord.

  2. Connect the projector with a USB cable to the computer. A regular printer wire will do.

  3. Open the Device Manager on your computer.

  1. Find the "Ports (COM and LPT)" tab in the Device Manager. Open it. A list of your devices that are connected via COM ports will appear.

  1. Find the COM port of the projector. It is usually referred to as "USB Serial Port (port number)". Write down the COM port number in parentheses - just the number. In the picture above, this is COM port 8.

6) Turn on the projector's power.

  1. Open the EasyCeilingLazer projector program. Go to the Settings tab. You will see a list of projectors. Click on the button with the image of the gears.

  1. A window will open to record the settings for the Wi-Fi connection. Enter your COM port number and click "Connect".

  1. Then select the connection type - WiFi. Enter the name and password of your network and select the Client mode.

Important! The projector does not support 5GHz WiFi networks. 2.4Ghz only.

The WiFi name and password must be written in Latin (English letters).

  1. Click the "Record" button. If the data recording is successful, the message "Recording completed" will be displayed immediately

  1. Close the message. Click on the "Disconnect" button and then "Close".

  2. Turn off the projector's power for about 10 seconds. Then turn on the projector again. It should start working in a new mode - via WiFi. The blue LED on the projector should blink for a while and then glow steadily. This means that it has successfully connected to the WiFi network. It is recommended to contact your system administrator to complete the following steps.

  3. Open the web interface of your router. On it, in the list of connected devices, you need to find the IP address of the connected projector. The projector can have a name like in the picture below, where the last three digits are the serial number of the projector, or the name EasyCeilingLaser999, where the last three digits also indicate the serial number.

  1. You need to reserve a DHCP for the projector's IP address, or set a static one.

  2. Enter the reserved IP address of the projector in the projector settings - in the "Server IP address" field and save the settings

  3. Log into your router

  1. Go to "Advanced settings" - "Network" - "DHCP server".

  1. To reserve your projector's IP address, you need to find it in the list of DHCP devices. The name of the projector must begin with "ESP" and end with the serial number of the projector. The MAC address must also end with the serial number of the projector.

  1. We found and recorded the IP address of the projector. In the example above, it is 192.168.1.130.

As well as the MAC address of the projector. In the example, it starts with D8-BF...

  1. Click "Add", then enter the MAC and IP address of the projector. Click "Enable" and Save.

  2. After that, restart the router.

  3. Once again, go to the router's web interface. We find your projector in the DHCP list. His IP address should have remained the same. If this did not happen, then something went wrong.
