Ceiling Plan

The “Ceiling Plan” tab is used to set the seam arrangement or to combine the ceiling with several textures. If no texture is selected, you will not be able to switch to the “Cut” tab and will be warned by a message.

Seam arrangement

The user can select any side, relative to which the location of seams will be set, as well as the “Relative to segment” field is available for manual input, which allows to set a SIMPLE segment for the location of seams (figure - seam parallel to the AC diagonal). The corresponding modes are available to quickly set the seam locations:

  1. Webs parallel to the segment - seams are set parallel starting from the specified segment;

  2. Webs perpendicular to the segment - the seams are set perpendicular to the specified segment with the first seam starting from the first point of the segment (for example, segment AB the first seam will come from point A);

  3. Canvas at the center of the segment - the middle of the fabric is matched to the middle of the specified segment;

  4. Seam at the center of the segment - the first seam is matched to the middle of the specified segment;

  5. Canvas in the center of the room - in complex ceilings you can specify an arbitrary segment, the algorithm will rotate the whole drawing so that the segment is parallel to the coordinate axis OY and set the first canvas in the middle of the room;

  6. Room center seam - in complex ceilings you can specify an arbitrary segment, the algorithm will rotate the whole drawing so that the segment is parallel to the OY coordinate axis and set the first seam in the middle of the room.

If you want to specify the position of the seams in any other way, you can use the indentation from the points of the specified segment or the upward or downward indentation from the segment.

The web widths and the X and Y stretch factors are taken from the material guide.

If “Allow to change the shrinkage factor” is checked in the settings, the X and Y stretch factors will be available for manual change, which gives the possibility to “play” with the location of seams and their number.

Example: the room size 203*320cm, the texture ordered Gloss 180cm (with a standard stretch of 194cm), this ceiling can be installed without seams, for this you need to increase the width of the cloth, ie Y to increase shrinkage to 13%, and the length of the cloth, ie X to reduce to 5% (you can leave the standard shrinkage, if you are confident in their abilities in the installation ...).

Multi-texture - Automatic Seam

Automatic multifaceting allows the combination of colors and textures in a simple way - each sheet is a separate texture.

Automatic multifactoring does not allow to make an internal insertion of another color, only a combination of parallel bordering textures is possible.

To add another texture, select it from the list, specify the color, enter the desired texture width and press the “Add” button. The texture width entered cannot exceed the width of the stretched texture.

To change an already added texture or color, select it from the list, make changes and click on the “Change” button.

To remove a texture from the list, you must select it and click the “Delete” button.

Multifactoring - Custom Seam

To apply custom multifactoring, you must click on the “Multifactoring” button in the “Cut” tab and select “Custom seams” from the drop-down menu (available with the additional “Multifactoring” function).

A window for working with multifactoring will open.

The principle of work in the user mode is reduced to the fact that the user puts additional points in the desired places, then draws around these points and indicates that the group of selected points forms a polygon of the selected texture.

ATTENTION: points should be circled strictly one after another in the order they outline the desired area, selecting points in a scattered manner is not allowed!

When the window is opened, the contours selection mode is selected, for placing additional points it is necessary to change the operation mode on the control panel:

  1. Contours - modes of selecting and defining contours;

  2. Points - mode of adding, moving and deleting additional points.

In the Points mode, six point locations are available:

  1. One point on a line - the point is located on the specified line at a specified distance from the first point;

  2. Automatic points - if you hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse over the drawing, new points will appear following the mouse cursor, which will outline a new contour.

  3. Arc from two points

  4. Ellipse from a point

  5. Bezier curve

  6. Closed Bezier curve

If you place a point near a segment of the drawing, the point will be automatically attracted to the segment.

To change the position of an additional point, in the “Points” mode, click the left mouse button over the point to be changed and move it to a new position.

To delete an additional point, in “ Points ” mode, you must click with the right mouse button over the point to be deleted.

In the “Contours” mode all operations of selecting the main and additional points are performed with the mouse.

If a point is selected, it will be highlighted with a blue frame.

For quick selection of consecutive points, you can press the left mouse button over the first selected point and move the mouse cursor with the pressed button, the points that will be within the cursor selection radius will be automatically marked as selected.

To deselect an erroneous point, you must click the right mouse button on the erroneous point.

Each contour must be selected separately. After the contour is selected, in the right part of the window it is necessary to specify the texture and color, then click on the green plus button “Add”

Selecting the contour of the fabric should be done clockwise and the points should be selected in order, if the points are selected out of order, you may get an incorrect contour.

After all the contours of the fabrics have been selected and the seams have been positioned, you can click on the “Apply” button, the defined contours will be transferred to the main program, where you can work further with multifactoring.

If you want to temporarily disable multifactoring in the main window, just click on the “Multifactoring” button.

The print form for the customer contains information about the textures used and the areas of each fabric separately.

The print form for the manufacturer also contains information about the used textures and areas (sq.m. and p.m.) of the consumed material
