Setting up a network folder for uploading projector files
Unfortunately, it's not always possible to organize full network access to the database. In such cases, you can configure file upload for the projector to a network folder, from which the projector will read files. In this case, you can, for example, connect cloud synchronization services such as Google Drive.
Here's how to do it:
🖥 Part 1: Setting up a shared network folder between computers
Step 1: Creating a folder and permissions
On the main computer (where the shared folder will be stored):
Create a new folder (for example:
C:\EasyCeiling\LaserFiles\).Right-click on the folder → "Properties" → Sharing tab → "Share".
Click "Share", select user "Everyone", click Add.
Set permissions to "Read and write" → Share → Done.
Step 2: Allowing access in security
In the Security tab, click Edit → Add → enter
Everyone→ OK.Select "Everyone" and set full access → OK.
Step 3: Determining the network path
Open folder properties → Sharing tab.
Copy the path, for example:
\\MAIN-PC\LaserFiles\.
🔗 Part 2: Connecting the folder as a network drive
This step is not mandatory, or you can set up synchronization using cloud services
On all other computers:
Open File Explorer → "This PC" → "Map network drive".
Specify:
Drive letter, for example
Z:Path to the folder:
\\MAIN-PC\LaserFiles
Check Reconnect at sign-in.
If required, enter the username and password of the user on the main computer.
Now the folder will appear as drive Z: and be accessible from other PCs.
🔧 Part 3: Specifying the folder in EasyCeiling as a sharing folder for the laser projector
In EasyCeiling, go to:
Settings menu → Database tab

Find the field for specifying the path for saving files
Specify the path to the network folder:
If connected as a drive:
Z:\orZ:\ProjectorIf directly:
\\MAIN-PC\LaserFiles
Select settings for when to save files for the projector. Usually this is when printing production forms.
Save the settings and restart the EasyCeiling program.
Configure all your computers in the same way
