Settings Table. Automatic Frequency Adjustment

🎥 Video tutorial: Rutube | YouTube

🔹 1. Introduction

The video explains the settings table for the laser projector server. The screen displays a portion of the ceiling drawing projected in real time by the laser system. You can notice smoothed corners and slight flickering, which are normal for laser scanning operation.

🔹 2. How the Laser Projector Works

A laser projector functions differently from a conventional monitor. While on a monitor all pixels are illuminated simultaneously, the laser projector operates as follows:

  • A single laser beam rapidly traces the entire ceiling perimeter.

  • The image is created by reflections from high-speed movable mirrors inside the projector.

Because of the physical inertia of these mirrors, when the beam moves too quickly, small angles and fine details may not be fully drawn, especially when projecting large perimeters.

🔹 3. Adjusting Frequency and Number of Points

Two main parameters determine the projection quality:

  • Frequency — defines how fast the laser traces the perimeter.

    • The lowest value (0) provides the highest speed.

    • The optimal value is 2, which ensures that all corners and fine details are drawn smoothly.

  • Number of points — controls the detail level and smoothness of lines.

📈 The program automatically selects the optimal frequency and point density based on the ceiling perimeter, using data from the settings table.

🔹 4. Editing the Settings Table

You can manually link a specific ceiling perimeter to a specific frequency to maintain the best balance between projection accuracy and drawing smoothness.

✅ Summary

The settings table simplifies the operator’s work by:

  • maintaining the optimal scanning frequency,

  • eliminating flicker and missing corners,

  • improving the precision of ceiling contour projection.
