Accounting for Waste When Paying for Ceilings

The EasyCeiling program allows including waste area in the ceiling area, thereby adding waste to the ceiling payment.

If you see that the program calculates the area in an unclear way, you probably just need to disable waste accounting.

To disable, uncheck this item and save the settings

Waste addition is finely configurable:

  • You can enable and disable waste addition

  • You can configure waste addition separately for rectangular ceilings (simple) and polygonal ceilings (complex)

  • You can configure dependencies: from what amount of waste to start accounting for them, what portion of waste to add, etc.

  • Configure waste calculation separately for individual catalogs and individual dealers

Order of Waste Application

If general waste settings, catalog waste settings, and dealer settings are set, the order of application will be from specific to general.

That is, the order of application will be:

  1. For dealer, if set

  2. For catalog, if set

  3. General, if set

Common Questions

"Area is calculated incorrectly"

Most likely, you don't expect waste to be included and it's better to disable it.

Otherwise, contact technical support, describe how the area is currently calculated and how you expect it to be calculated

"Area is calculated incorrectly, not as I configured"

Possible reasons:

  1. Settings were set for rectangular ceiling, but a polygonal one is being considered. Rectangular ceilings and polygonal ones are configured separately.

  2. Settings for the catalog or dealer are being applied to the ceiling in question, not general settings

"I change settings, but the area doesn't change"

  1. When changing settings, you need to refresh the page: for example, go to another ceiling and back.

  2. Settings were set for rectangular ceiling, but a polygonal one is being considered. Rectangular ceilings and polygonal ones are configured separately.

  3. Settings for the catalog or dealer are being applied to the ceiling in question, not general settings.

How to disable waste?

In version 1.56 and newer - uncheck the "Apply waste calculation" item

In older versions, set all waste settings to zero, for both simple and polygonal ceilings.
