Construction using additional ceiling shapes
Additional form "Triangle"
Three variants of the additional form "Triangle" are available: Outward, inward, and cutout.
To create an additional form, you need to specify its dimensions.
Angle - from which the offset will occur. The offset itself L1, as well as the sides of the triangle A, B, C. After setting the dimensions, you need to click the green plus button to apply the additional form. Its name will be displayed in the list of additional forms on the left, and it will appear on the ceiling drawing.
Dimensions for the "Cutout" and "Inward" triangles are set in the same way.
Example "Triangle":
Additional form "Rectangle"
Three variants of the additional form "Rectangle" are available: Outward, inward, and cutout.
Similar to the additional form "Triangle". The vertex is specified, relative to which the rectangle will be constructed, the offset from it, offsets from the side (clockwise) on which the base vertex lies, and the lengths of the rectangle sides;
Example "Rectangle":
Additional form "Remove corner"
As the name suggests - removes the selected corner. The vertex to be removed is specified.
Example "Remove corner":
Additional form "Cut corner"
Allows you to cut a corner by specified values. The vertex to be cut and offsets in both directions for creating the cut are specified.
Example "Cut corner":
Additional form "Arc"
Allows you to construct an arc in the ceiling - inward or outward.
The vertex is specified, relative to which the arc will be constructed, the offset from it, the number of points on the arc (including two points that lie on the side), the length of the base for the arc, the length of the arc itself, or if the arc length remains zero, then the height of the arc. For calculation, only the arc length or only the arc height is taken into account; for construction by arc height, the arc length must be zero.
Example "Arc":
Additional form "Round corner"
Allows you to round a corner - inward or outward.
The vertex to be rounded, the number of points (for smoothness/angularity of rounding), and offsets in both directions from this vertex are specified;
Example "Round corner":
Additional form "Point"
Allows you to place an arbitrary point on any side. The point and the distance at which the new point will be offset from the selected point are specified.
Example "Point":
Additional form "Antilens"
For 90-degree level transition, for internal corners. It is recommended to apply after adding the additional form "Level".
Video "Antilens":
Example "Antilens":
Additional form "EUROKRAAB special cut"
Special cut applied to a 25 by 25 cm square cutout.
Before version 1.57 the form visually adds nothing, only indicates on production sheets for the cutter which sides should have the special cut applied.
From version 1.57 modifies the length of the specified side if it is less than or equal to 25 cm.
Example "EUROKRAAB special cut":
Additional form "Wall profile"
Allows you to draw the specified side with the specified hatching on the sheets for the client, for the installer, and for the manufacturer drawing.
Example "Wall profile":

Additional form "Circle"
Allows you to add a cutout in the form of a circle or ellipse.
Example "Circle":
Additional form "Polygon"
Three variants are available for applying this function:
Select the ceiling from the database and cut it from the current one.
Select the ceiling from the file and cut it from the current one.
Enter the polygon dimensions in the tree for additional forms.
The vertex is specified, relative to which the polygon will be constructed, the offset from it and from the wall, the number of polygon vertices, and also it is necessary to enter the dimensions according to the same algorithm as when constructing the base drawing.
Example "Polygon":
We take the ceiling from our order and cut it from the base ceiling.
Additional form "Cut"
(From wall to cutout or from cutout to cutout) - specify the vertices and offsets from them on the base drawing and cutout or cutouts;
Example "Cut":
Additional form "Minus ceiling" (additional function)
For the minus ceiling function to work, the dimensions of the base ceiling and the dimensions of one or more levels must be known, which will be subtracted from the base ceiling.
Example "Minus ceiling":
The client ordered a two-level ceiling (figure 1), to build it, it is enough to take measurements of the base ceiling (figure 2) and measurements of the second level (figure 3), the second level is selected because it has fewer vertices, so fewer measurements need to be taken to build the drawing. It is necessary to build drawings with the obtained measurements and save them in separate files.
To apply the function, you need to open the file with measurements of the base ceiling, go to the "Additional forms" tab, and click the "Minus ceiling" button, in the opened dialog window, specify the file with measurements of the second level (must have built and saved in a separate file).
After loading the second level, the program displays the drawing location on the base ceiling in gray color, to change the loaded ceiling (level) location, you need to change the attachment to the vertices for drawings. The loaded drawing attachment is performed by comparing the location of the selected vertex on the base ceiling and the vertex on the loaded ceiling
To confirm the drawing location, you need to click the "Add" button (blue plus), the minus ceiling function is not subject to change, so if you specified incorrect parameters and did not get what you need, you need to delete the additional form "Minus ceiling" (blue minus button) and apply again with the file for subtraction.
In our case, the function worked perfectly, but there may be situations (when the measurements were taken inaccurately), when the function leaves extra points at the edges, but this is not scary, since by applying additional forms "Remove point", "Cut point", or "Point" you can easily eliminate these inaccuracies.
Additional form "Plus ceiling"
Allows you to add another ceiling to the ceiling and connect them together.
Example "Plus ceiling":
Additional form "Set level"
Level - allows you to set a level of a certain height with the display of a virtual bend of the fabric, the initial and final point for the level and the level height are specified.
ATTENTION: the function works well on small level transitions (up to 12cm), since when applying this function, the harpoon perimeter increases at the level, which significantly affects the transitions on curved sections at high transitions.
Example "Set level":
Additional form "Curved section"
Allows you to calculate the perimeter of a curved section.
The form visually adds nothing, only changes the value "Perimeter of curves" at the bottom of the screen, specify the beginning and end of the curved section.
This additional form works if the Manual method for calculating curvature is used.
ATTENTION: be careful so that the function does not go into already known curved sections, otherwise the function will give a larger perimeter of curves than there is in reality.
Example "Curved section":
Additional form "Wall shift"
The principle of operation is similar to the level transition, but in the opposite order, mainly used for the recess under the curtain for the ceiling.
Example "Wall shift":
Additional form "Objects"
Allows you to place the following objects on the ceiling: lamps, chandeliers, doors, windows, pipe wrap, additional constructions.
Object "Additional constructions" allows you to output a rectangle with an arbitrary name and hatching and specified dimensions.
Lamp - adds a visual element for coordinating the location of lamps with the client. Each lamp can be moved with the mouse and removed if an unnecessary lamp is selected and deleted by clicking the "Delete" button on the keyboard.
Chandelier can be moved with the mouse like a lamp.
You can add perpendiculars with a ruler for objects.
Example "Objects":
Objects are output on printed sheets for the client, installer, and for the manufacturer drawing.
Additional form "Light fixture editor" (additional function)
This is an additional function that allows you to create a catalog of shaped lighting locations, and insert them as a standard solution on the ceilings.
Lighting catalog opens the catalog of ready-made lamps, which can be created, changed, or deleted.
Lighting editor will immediately open the Lighting Editor window, where you can add various lamp options.
In our article "Lighting editor" in detail describes how to create your own lamps, what functions are in the Editor, and how to use them.
Example "Light fixture editor":
Additional form "Structures" (additional function)
This function allows building constructions for multi-level ceilings, printing sheets for manufacturing, attaching a bezel\profile to the drawing for automatic calculation in the calculation and outputting the drawing on the laser projector for quick manufacturing of constructions.
When clicking on this additional form, the construction editor will open.
Example "Structures":
Additional form "Light lines" (additional function)
Light lines - this is an additional function that gives access to the light line constructor.
It allows you to build straight and arc-shaped light lines, print drawings for manufacturing constructions, split the drawing into parts by light lines, keep track of light lines and profile for them in the calculation.
Example "Light lines":
Additional form "Small nodes"
The function allows you to output separate elements of the ceiling on a separate sheet.
For example, when there is a small element that is not clearly visible on the general drawing, you can highlight it and send it to another sheet.
Example "Small nodes":
Additional form "Change angle A"
Allows you to assign angle A to the selected angle. The other angles will go from angle A in order.
Example "Change angle A":
Edit inner cutout (including polygon)
For the inner cutout, three modes are provided: "Prohibit editing", "Move", and "Rotate", between these modes you can switch. Available modes appear only if the inner cutout is selected for manual editing.
In the "Prohibit editing" mode, the inner cutout does not move and rotate, thus excluding erroneous editing of the inner cutout. The mode is activated automatically when there is no selected cutout.
There is a possibility of operational movement of the cutout in the prohibited mode, for this, you need to press the right mouse button on the cutout and move the mouse cursor.
If the "Move" mode is enabled, then either with the left mouse button pressed, the selected cutout moves, or with the arrow keys on the keyboard (the arrow keys move by one centimeter).
The "Rotate" mode works similarly to the move mode (the arrow keys rotate by one degree), in this mode, you can move the inner cutout, for this, press the right mouse button and move the cursor.
You can change the point around which the inner cutout rotates, for this, press the left mouse button on the black circle in the middle of the inner cutout and move it to the desired place
Methods of manual editing of the inner cutout:
Arbitrary cutout location - in designer ceilings;
Correcting the cutout built along the diagonals.
To apply manual editing in the second case, you need to build the inner cutout as usual, then change the offset variant to "Manual cutout" and click the "Apply" button (green checkmark).
ATTENTION: when using the "Manual cutout" variant, you cannot return to the "From one point" or "From two points" variant.
