✂️ Minus Ceiling - separates the base ceiling from the tiered construction

We have two constructed ceilings. The first is the main or base ceiling, and the second is the part of the multi-level construction that we need to “subtract” from the first base ceiling.

Select the base ceiling from which we will “subtract” part of the multilevel construction, in our example “1 - Kitchen” is the base ceiling and “2 - Kitchen” is the part to be subtracted from the ceiling.

We go to “Advanced Forms” and select the “Minus Ceiling” form. It has 2 different options, but we'll look at the first one - “Select from DB” - this will allow us to select directly from our database the ceiling we will be “subtracting”:

The “From file” option, on the other hand, offers us to select the .eс file with the construction to be “subtracted”.

In the window that opens, select the desired ceiling (the ceiling to be “subtracted”) and click “Select”.

The window will close and you will need to select the corners and indents as you want for your ceiling. when everything is ready, apply the additional shape by clicking on the “+” button.

Once we've done everything, our base ceiling will show up without the construction we “subtracted”:

It is important to realize that on the Basic Drawing tab, the ceiling will still look the way you originally built it, but on the nesting, printing and order list, the design will be removed from it.
