Business Waste Log
Starting from version 1.59, when working with business waste, you can open the event log to see why and how a particular waste piece was formed in the ceiling, or why it wasn't formed, or why the waste piece wasn't applied to the ceiling.
To open the log, press Ctrl+Shift+W.
Or click the button on the "Cutting" tab

For example, let's take the following ceiling with waste.


When opening the log, the "Waste Accounting" tab will open first. Here it shows how the waste piece was formed. Blue - rectangle by material width. Red - canvas outline. Green - business waste.
Now let's go to the "Message Log" tab

Here you can see the history of working with waste pieces.
No suitable waste pieces found for use in the ceiling. The program couldn't find a waste piece of the same texture, with suitable area and ready for use to make the current ceiling.
Canvas №…. Found possible business waste pieces: …. Checking waste pieces. The program found areas in the canvas from which business waste could hypothetically be saved and started checking parameters.
Canvas №…. Business waste №…. Looking for optimal rectangular waste. The program launched the algorithm to find a rectangle with maximum area to find the most optimal waste piece.
Canvas №…. Business waste №…. Algorithm found optimal rectangular waste. Checking. The algorithm found the optimal waste piece and started checking if it meets the parameters.
Rectangular waste: Width=…, Length=… Suitable by parameters. A business waste piece was found that meets the parameters.
Canvas №…. Remaining from waste №… Looking for optimal rectangular waste among the remainder. The algorithm cut out the largest rectangle from the waste as business waste. And from everything that remained after that - it tries to find another optimal rectangular waste piece that would meet the parameters.
Canvas №…. Remaining from waste №… Search completed. The algorithm completed the search. If it found something, information about it would also appear.
Waste application notifications for the ceiling:
Business waste module is not active. Search for suitable waste pieces cancelled. You haven't purchased the "Business Waste" module, or the subscription has expired. If the subscription is renewed - you need to reactivate the program.
User is prohibited from working with business waste. Search for suitable waste pieces cancelled. In the user settings under which the program is authorized - there is a prohibition on working with business waste.
Canvas is missing. Search for suitable waste pieces cancelled. The ceiling has no canvases.
Texture or color not selected in the ceiling. Search for suitable waste pieces cancelled. Texture or color for the ceiling is not selected. They need to be selected on the "Order Information" tab.
Ceiling has more than 1 canvas. Search for suitable waste pieces cancelled. Business waste cannot be applied if the ceiling has more than 1 canvas, or if multi-texture is used.
No suitable waste pieces found for use in the ceiling. A waste piece with the same texture and color, suitable by area - was not found in the waste storage.
Suitable business waste found for use in the ceiling. The waste piece was successfully found and will be applied to the ceiling.
Waste piece number … did not pass the area usage %, canvas area …, waste area … Example: Waste piece did not pass the area usage %, canvas area 0.9, waste area 2.8, 31<50. 50 is the value of the "Waste usage percentage for canvas" setting. 31 is what percentage of the waste the ceiling area makes up.
Other waste formation notifications:
Ceiling is not in Calculation or New status. Cannot form waste pieces. Waste pieces are only formed for ceilings that are in New status (if calculation is not used), or Calculation status (if calculation is used).
Film in ceiling is written off. Cannot form waste pieces.
Ceiling is used in Tetris. Cannot form waste pieces. The ceiling is used in the additional "Tetris" module.
Ceiling is not active. Cannot form waste pieces.
Business waste №… did not pass the corner count check. … out of … maximum. The number of waste corners is greater than in the "Maximum number of corners" setting.
Business waste №… did not pass the dimension check. Waste: length-width. Minimum dimensions: length-width. One of the waste sides is smaller than the minimum. Depends on the "Minimum waste width" and "Minimum waste length" settings.
Business waste №… did not pass the check. Area … is less than … The waste area is less than the minimum area specified in the settings as "Minimum waste area".
Rectangular waste from remainder: Width=… Length=… Does not meet parameters. The business waste that resulted from the remainder of another business waste - did not meet one of the sides. Depends on the "Minimum waste width" and "Minimum waste length" settings.
Canvas №… Original ceiling area … is less than minimum area … The original ceiling area is too small to search for waste pieces in it. Depends on the "Minimum ceiling area (without shrinkage)" setting.
Canvas №… Texture [texture name, texture width, color] does not support waste accounting! The texture doesn't have the "Enable waste accounting for this texture" setting enabled and storage location is not selected.
