Order Cost - Automatic Calculation

In EasyCeiling, you can automate order cost calculation, taking into account various parameters: material with and without scraps, curved elements, additional corners, and seams.

The program supports many value types that are substituted into the calculation for automatic computation. We recommend familiarizing yourself with them before reading this article.

Automatic Material Cost Calculation with Scraps

We have already covered the basics of automatic ceiling (materials) calculation in a separate article → Automatic Ceiling Cost Calculation. Now let's focus on setting up automatic material cost calculation with scraps.

It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Room Area (with scraps)" with the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation" set

If everything is set up correctly, the table will display the name with the film name and cost calculation including scraps:

Automatic Curvilinearity Cost Calculation

Curved Section

A service with value type "Curved Section" allows adding the length of curved canvas sections to the calculation.

It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Curved Section" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

For automatic curved section calculation, it's not enough to just create a service, you also need to set curvilinearity calculation parameters in the settings. We cover how to do this in detail in this article → Curvilinearity Setup.

If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with curved section length calculation:

Curved Cut Perimeter

You can also set up a service for calculating the perimeter of curved cuts. It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Curved Cut Perimeter" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

For automatic curved cut perimeter calculation, it is also necessary to have curvilinearity parameters set in the settings. If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with curved cut perimeter calculation:

Automatic Corner Cost Calculation

A service with value type "Corner Processing" allows adding separately chargeable corners to the calculation, for example, beyond 4 corners. The "Inner Cut Corner Processing" service works similarly, but for inner cut corners.

To add such a service, it's not enough to just create it, you also need to set additional corner calculation parameters in the cost calculation settings. We cover additional corner calculation setup in detail in this article → Additional Corner Calculation Setup. Here we'll only look at adding the service to the calculation.

When setting up additional corner and cut corner calculations, it's important to understand that the program applies the same calculation rules to them. In the settings, you can specify the number of corners that are not counted, all corners beyond that will be counted.

Corner Processing

It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Corner Processing" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with the number of chargeable additional corners:

Inner Cut Corner Processing

You can also set up a service for calculating additional inner cut corners. It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Inner Cut Corner Processing" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

For automatic inner cut corner calculation, it is also necessary to have additional corner calculation parameters set in the cost calculation settings. If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with the number of chargeable additional inner cut corners:

Automatic Seam Cost Calculation

A service with value type "Straight Seam Length" allows displaying straight seam length in the calculation, while a service with value type "Curved Seam Length" displays curved seam length.

Straight Seam Length

It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Straight Seam Length" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with straight seam length:

Curved Seam Length

It is necessary to have a service in the additional services list with value type "Curved Seam Length" and set the parameter "Automatically apply for calculation".

If everything is set up correctly, the table will display a service with curved seam length:

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Incorrect total order cost calculation on the "Order Information" tab when adding components to the order.

If a dealer is specified in your order, the total cost will always show the total cost of their calculation. If both client and dealer are specified, then the total cost will also show the dealer's calculation.

If only a client is specified - then the total cost will display client sums from the calculation. And if there is any information on dealer forms, it won't be included in the total cost. The same applies to dealers. Everything on client forms is not shown in the total cost.

This must be taken into account and checked - what total cost you expect to see and what actually appears.
