Additional Corner Calculation Settings
The number of corners (points) on the drawing is displayed on printed forms.

These points can be used for calculating a separate service in the cost calculation, and can be exported to 1C if the corresponding integrations are available.
By default, any point on the drawing is considered a corner. To prevent certain points from being counted as separate corners, for example on curved sections or straight lines, this needs to be configured separately.
Thus, points that are considered part of curved sections are not included in the corner calculation. Article about curved section settings.
Also in settings, starting from version 1.55, you can specify, as shown in the screenshot below, which points should not be counted as corners.

Setting up Additional Corners for Cost Calculation Output
This function is available to users who have purchased the additional "Cost Calculation" module. Before reading the article, watch the introductory video about the "Cost Calculation" module.
A service with the value type "Corner Processing" allows you to add separately chargeable corners to the cost calculation, for example, beyond 4 corners.
The "Corner Processing for Internal Cutout" service works the same way for internal cutout corners.

Cost Calculation Output Settings
To have this service for additional corners or cutout corners automatically added to the cost calculation, you need to:

Configure a service with the value type "Corner Processing" or "Cutout Corners" and enable the "Automatically apply for calculation" parameter
The "Additional corners from to" parameter allows you to create multiple services, for example, to calculate additional corners up to 10 pieces at one price, and beyond 10 at another price. Do not enable this parameter if you only have 1 service with the value type "Corner Processing". With this setting, all corners are displayed as chargeable!
This setting does not affect the number of corners displayed in the service. It only affects at what number of corners this service will be added to the cost calculation.
For example:
1st service. "Corner Processing from 4 to 10" - in the settings, set from 4 to 10 and set the required price per corner.
2nd service. "Corner Processing more than 10" - in the settings, set from 11 to 0 (that is, to infinity). And set a different price.
So if there are, for example, 6 corners in the ceiling, the first service will be applied. If there are more than 10 corners - the second service will be applied. If there are less than 5 corners - no service will be applied.
In this case, all corners will be chargeable (i.e., the total number of corners in the ceiling)
Set in the cost calculation settings, where you specify:
minimum canvas area for corner calculation
number of non-chargeable corners that will be subtracted from the total number of corners
For dealers, it is configured separately: for canvas with area less than minimum and greater than minimum.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. The service with additional corners is not displayed in the cost calculation
Make sure the "Automatically apply for calculation" parameter is set in the service settings
Make sure this ceiling contains additional corners, not curved sections. The program does not count corners in this service if they are part of a curved section.
Make sure there are more corners in this ceiling than configured in the non-chargeable corners setting in the cost calculation
The program does not count points of curved basic shapes as corners: circles, ellipses, semi-ellipses.
2. The service calculates an incorrect number of corners
Make sure the settings mentioned above contain the data you need.
Make sure your curved section settings are configured correctly.
Curved section settings correlate with additional corner settings, for example, if the curved section segment length is greater than the segment length to the corner that should be counted as an additional corner.
Make sure this dealer does not have individual corner calculation configured (in dealer editing).
Make sure the parameters set in settings → tolerance → corner calculation in drawing match your needs.
3. Can both external and internal corners be counted simultaneously?
No. EasyCeiling counts external corners and internal cutout corners as separate lines in the cost calculation.
When configuring the calculation of additional corners and cutout corners, it's important to understand that the program applies the same calculation rules to them. In the settings, you can specify the number of corners that are not counted, all corners beyond that will be counted.

For example, if the settings specify that the first 4 corners are not chargeable, then with 6 external corners and 5 internal cutout corners on the drawing, the program will calculate additional corners as follows:
External corners: out of 6 corners, only 2 will be counted, as the first 4 are not considered.
Internal cutout corners: out of 5 corners, 1 is chargeable, as the first 4 are also not considered.
Thus, 2 external corners and 1 internal cutout corner will be added to the cost calculation for additional corner calculation.
